Before I get started, just wanted to introduce you guys to Cosmetic Love- place where I got this product from. They're an online shop that offers a huge variety of Korean makeup/skincare products. I find their price range to be pretty affordable plus they offer free shipping and free samples with every purchase! Be sure to check them out~ (Btw my parcel came a little bit over 1 week-- incredibly fast!)
Lip lacquers have been getting so much hype lately that I felt awkward not giving it a go so I decided to give this Missha one a try. I've tried 2 Missha products before and I loved them both so I figured I'd most likely like this product as well-- and I do! :)
Missha packaging tends to be quite mature and somewhat on the luxurious side which is nice. It's refreshing to see non cutesy girly girl packaging once in a while.
On top of the lid shows you the color name. In this Everlasting Lacquer Rouge line there are a total of 5 different colors. As you can see, I chose the color OR01. I have been trying to get the perfect orange lipstick and ladies and gentlemen, this might be the one...
The color name is also on the bottom of the actual tube.
This product has a sponge tip applicator which makes it really easy and precise when applying it on your lips.
Here's what the actual product looks like:
I really like that from outside the tube, you can tell which color it is. That way, if you have all of the shades of the Everlasting Lacquer Rouge, you can easily differentiate which one's which.
Alright now let's see what this baby looks like on my lips:
Ya, super bright and opaque. It's like BAM.
Here's my thoughts on this product;
- Super pigmented. A little goes a long way applies to this product. When you pick up the wand, you do not need to back in for seconds.
- Matte. If you don't like matte lip products, this isn't for you. (I saw Missha have a line of lacquers that ARE shiny/glossy finish though.)
- Drying. This looks AND feels drying. If you were up close to my face, you'd see how drying it looks. However from far away, or in selfies, you can't see the dryness.
- Prep your lips first. This also correlates with #2 & #3. Typically matte lip products are drying. Therefore, exfoliate and moisturize your lips with a lip balm before applying this lacquer. You'd thank yourselves for it.
- Has a fragrance. Floral-ish scent.
- Long lasting. This product lasted forever...literally. If you eat/drink it will still not go away. Perfect for parties, going out because you know it will not fail on you!
For me, I don't care that it felt/looked drying. It didn't bother me too much because I absolutely love the color. It looks really bright in real life, so this is pretty much a statement lip color, so freaking bold~ Wearing this lip lacquer made me felt so pretty, so good about myself. I swear to you guys this is the first time a lip product ever made me feel this way LOL. The color just goes really well with my complexion and made my teeth look really white. Hands down, this lip lacquer now owns my heart. If you guys are interested in the Missha M Everlasting Lacquer Rouge line, I definitely recommend you guys to check this shade out, which is again OR01.
Here are some selfies of me wearing the lip lacquer >.<
Thanks for reading!
