Review: Etude House CC Cream (Silky)

image

This review will be on Etude House CC Cream in Silky which be can be purchased here.

I think Etude House launched this item a little bit over a year ago if I'm not mistaken. After trying out Banila Co's CC Cream and being meh about it, I kind of lost hope for CC Creams. However, since I love Etude House products so much, I figured might as well give this item a chance and hopefully be able to redeem CC Creams in my mind.

image

So on  the sides of the box, there are some instructions/tips on how to use the product and product's claims.

image

And if you aren't Korean or can't read Korean, don't worry! There's a side in English :)

image

On top of the box shows you the full name of the product as well as the shade. Speaking of which, there are two shades in the CC Cream line from Etude House. Silky and Glow. I chose Silky because I want more coverage.

image

Here what the actual product looks like. Really slender so it is convenient to travel with!

image

Product comes with a pump so that is always a plus.

image

Here's what the CC Cream looks like. You can't really see it but there are tiny black capsules within the white.

Here is what the product claims are:

8 in 1 Multi Function; Anti-Aging, Stress Relief, Hydration, Whitening, Sun Protection, Tone-up, Smooth texture, Luminosity

image

Here's with some of the product blended in. You can see how the CC Cream adjusts into your natural skin tone.

image

This picture is pretty self explanatory. I showed you what my bare skin looks like without the CC Cream and then with the CC Cream applied on. My skin isn't bad, just a bit red around the cheek area. And look-- the CC Cream covered my redness and overall made my complexion look a lot better :D

image

On my right (your left) is without the CC Cream and on my left (your right) is with the CC Cream. You can really see a big difference with and without.

image

My thoughts (PROS)

-Cute/slim packaging

-Gives good coverage

-Covered up redness well

-Universal shade

-Evened out skin tone

-Light weight

-Natural looking

-Has SPF

-Whitens face without being too drastic or too pale

-Has skincare benefits

(CONS)

-Small amount of product (only 35g)

Overall I do really enjoy this product and would recommend this to anyone who wants to try out CC Creams. I love how it covered up my redness so well and just made my skin look so much healthier and perfect. Plus there's SPF, hydrating, etc. Love love love this product.

Review: Etude House Proof 10 Auto Pencil

image

Hello~ I have an Etude House Proof 10 Auto Pencil review today. I heard Etude House's ever so famous of the Proof 10 Shadow Primer. Since this eyeliner is also in the Proof 10 line, it gotta be good, right?!

Here's what the back of the packaging looks like.

image

Side packaging. Here it claims what this product will do, directions, and also ingredients.

image

Side packaging. Here is all Korean but there are photos. It's just showing you how you can take out the end of the eyeliner and sharpen it if you feel like the tip is too dull.

image

Etude House Proof 10 Auto Pencil comes in a few colors. But the one I got  is in the color BK801 which is a black shade. This view is from the bottom of the box.

image

Here's what the actual product looks like. It has a navy blue cap and a black body. I thought the color of the eyeliner was actually gonna be that navy blue cause of the cap. This product reminds me an American eyeliner I own which is the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner. I really like auto twisties eyeliners because it's extremely convenient, you don't have to sharpen it and if you feel like you need to, there's a little sharpener at the bottom of the product.

image

image

Here's how the product looks like with the sharpener end taken out.

image

Btw, I didn't edit any of these photos because I wanted you guys to see the actual color of this eyeliner.

First off, here is a small swatch:

image

As you guys can see, this eyeliner isn't a real dark black color. I would say it leans more as a grey black. So wearing this could give you a subtle eye look, not so intense and could essentially look natural from faraway.

So normally, I never apply pencil eyeliner on my top lids because pencil liners tend to smudge so I always use a liquid liner. But, seeing as this product claims to be water proof and what not, I wanted to see if it'd last on me.

image

Awkward angle.... LOL I only had Etude House Proof 10 Auto Pencil on and some mascara. Again, I wanted to emphasize on the eyeliner so I didn't wear any eye shadow.

image

Again, you can see that this eyeliner isn't a dark black shade. However, when I applied it, it was extremely creamy and super easy to glide on! I'm really happy about that because my old eyeliners I have in my collection are getting quite dry so the application isn't as easy as it used to be :/

Here in this picture, I'm attempting to smear the eyeliner to see if it'll budge.

image

The result?

image

Yay! It stayed in place!!!!

Here, I did a swatch of the eyeliner and attempted to do the same test as the pictures above (smearing it with my fingers to see if the product will fade).

image

Again, it didn't fail on me :3

image

Overall: I'm fairly pleased with this product as the day I wore this eyeliner, it didn't smudge on me even though it was a sweaty hot day. As shown in these pictures, I rimmed my whole bottom lash line with this product. Usually, I never do that because it tends to smudge on me if I do that.  But surprisingly, this product didn't. Besides that, my usual routine is applying liquid liner on my top lid. However, using this product on my top lid wasn't bad at all. No smears, no smudges. I also enjoyed how this product didn't seem to budge when I attempted to erase it.

A thing that I'm not quite satisfied with is the pigmentation. This product could've been a little bit darker. On Etude House's website the Proof 10 Eyeliner comes with 5 shades and this one that I got is the darkest shade so.....haha. It's not too bad though because you can look natural:)

Review: Lioele Be My Skin Twin Cake (#23 Natural Beige)

image

This review will be on Lioele Be My Skin Twin Cake in no. 23 Natural Beige.

Alright so previously, I made the review on Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream, which can be found here. I told you guys I got some items from Lioele Texas. Lioele Texas has 2 stores in Texas as well as an online shop (http://lioeletexas.com). If you guys are in that state, highly recommend you guys to drop by and check their shop out! They carry all items you can find from the brand, Lioele. So if you're like me, not in Texas-- definitely shop online! I got my package in 2 days which is super fast. You get a ton of samples when you make a purchase as well ;) Use my coupon code: PATRICIA15 for 15% your entire purchase!

image

image

Look at how generous they were with me *O* A packet of samples, hehe.

Alright let's get crackin' with this review!

When you're at the Lioele store or anywhere that sells Lioele stuff, you're going to notice that they offer many different types of powders. Today we are going to be specifically talking about the Be My Skin Twin Cake. There's another powder that looks exactly like this one, but it is called the Be My Skin Powder Pact. That one, as far as I know, is only good for oil blotting-- not much coverage is in that powder. This Be My Skin Twin Cake offers coverage and sun protection.

image

I don't know how many times I've said this but, Asian cosmetics have the best packaging, hands down.

image

On the back are Korean words~

imageOne side tells you all the ingredients used. I was surprised to know that there are healthy ingredients in this! There's camomile and organic grape seed oil.

image

On top of the box is the shade of the powder. This powder comes in 2 shades, no. 21 Light Beige and no. 23 Natural Beige. This sticker also helps you to know if the product has been opened or not.

image

So I'd like to take a brief moment for you guys to inhale and spazz on how cute and luxurious this powder is, ermahgerd. It looks so princessy and everything. How great would you feel when you whip this out of your bag and make everyone jealous cause you're just so fab ;D

image

There's a cute puff in this which I personally don't use because I use a brush for this powder. However, if you're on the go this puff will come in handy along with the built in mirror!

image

There's a plastic door thingy that keeps the puff and powder separated. This helps to prevent the puff from picking up any unwanted product.

image

Here's a close look at the powder.

image

On the back tells you the name of the product as well as the shade in case you ever forget what product you're using.

Alright so here's a demo of me using this powder!

image

image

This is my natural skin, without any face product on. As you can see, Buddha blessed me with good skin :'D I only suffer from a bit of redness on my cheeks.

image

I'll be using the Sigma F30 Large Powder brush with this powder.

image

I'm just dabbing the product with my brush-- be sure to tap off the excess!

image

Applying the powder on!

image

image

And viola here is what the product did to my skin! You can see it minimizes my redness really well :3 And just overall, gave my skin a good natural finish.

Here's my overall thoughts;

PROS:

  • Has such a good fragrance ! (Beats the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream's fragrance)
  • Cute packaging
  • Travel friendly - compact
  • Has good coverage
  • Can be used alone or on top of a light coverage foundation/BB Cream
  • Has SPF of 27 PA++

CONS:

  • Comes in only 2 shades
  • Sort of pricey (BUT OF COURSE IF YOU USE MY COUPON CODE, IT WOULD SAVE YA SOME BUCKS. HEHE)
  • Can be cakey if you overdo it -- especially if you already have foundation on

Overall I do recommend you guys purchasing this product! Please click here to purchase! Remember to use my coupon code: PATRICIA15 for 15% off your entire purchase at Lioele Texas!

Review & Swatches: Mustaev Eyeshadows

image

Today's review is about these eyeshadows from MustaeV! If you are interested in anything from their shop, please use my coupon code: patricia for 15% off your entire purchase!

If you guys don't know about the brand, MustaeV-- you guys are missing out! They are a Korean makeup brand that has makeup brushes, eyeliners, mascaras, eyeshadows, foundations, blushes, lipsticks, and lots more. While I only have tried their eyeshadows, I cannot tell you guys how their other products work--but if I do end up trying some more products from them, I'll be sure to make another review!

So anyways let's get started with the eyeshadow review~ So these eyeshadows on MustaeV retails for $13 each. I kind of compared these eyeshadows to MAC cosmetics' eyeshadows because they are roughly about the same price (MAC being $2 more) and their packaging is slightly similar.

They come in a black box with an opening to see the color of the eyeshadow just like MAC's  eyeshadows does.

image

However, on the back it's totally different. I really like the back packaging. I don't know, it just looks really sleek.

image

The name of the eyeshadows are stickered on top of the lid's box. It's also on the back of the actual eyeshadow.

image

When you take out the eyeshadow, you'll see that there's a cardboard covering the eyeshadow so the box isn't so flimsy.

image

So first off, this is color the called Peacock. Click here to buy this eyeshadow.

image

image

image

As you can see, it's a dark dark brown with red micro shimmers. If you guys are on the Naked 3 by Urban Decay bandwagon, there's an eyeshadow in that palette that's pretty much the same as this eyeshadow.

Here's a swatch of Peacock: From the pan, you'd think that when applied there will be a ton of red specks on your eye. However, that really wasn't the case. Yeah, you can see the little red shimmers from this swatch but when applied on your actual eye, you barely will notice it.

image

This is the color Pekoe. Click here to buy this eyeshadow.

image

image

image

This is matte skin-like color which in my opinion is the perfect transition color for your eye look! This eyeshadow is really smooth in application and it's the perfect amount of pigmentation.

Here's a swatch of Pekoe: As you can see, it's just a tiny bit darker than my actual skin tone so it's perfect for transitioning your eyeshadows. If you are a darker complexion than me, I wouldn't recommend it because it won't show up on your lids.

image

This is the color Forest. Click here to buy this eyeshadow.

image

image

image

I have to say, out of all the eyeshadows I got, this one has to be my favorite. It's such a gorgeous vibrant shimmery green color. I have nothing like this in my collection so I'm super excited. Although I like the pigmentation by itself, but if you spritz your brush  with a bit of water before picking this eyeshadow up to apply on your lids, the color intensity will be DRAMATIC.

Here's a swatch of Forest:

image

This is the color Brownstone. Click here to buy this eyeshadow. image

image

image

This color is also a favorite! I have an addiction to taupe eyeshadows so no doubt I like this one. This is a shimmery taupe (DUH) with that looks metallic which is super awesome~ I find this color to be the smoothest in application.

Here's a swatch of Brownstone:

image

This is the last color I have to share with you guys and it's called Julep.

image

image

image

This color is shimmer cranberry copper color. It looks a lot more cranberry like in the pan though. When applied, it leans a lot more towards the copper color.

Here's a swatch of Julep:

image

That concludes my review, guys! I think $13 a piece for these eyeshadows are worth it. Not to mention, you can save some more money by using my discount code: patricia Their quality is quite impressive especially with more of the metallic ones. Since their eyeshadows left such a good impression on me, I really want to try out their other products! Be sure to check out MustaeV!
