Review: Makeup Revolution Redemption Romantic Smoked Palette

Hi guys! I'm back to share with you guys a quick review. This is a brand that I've never tried before. Well mostly because the brand, Makeup Revolution used to only be sold in the UK. But fortunately, you can now buy their products at Ulta or on Makeup Revolution US's Website. YAY!

I've heard very great reviews of Makeup Revolution's products so I have high hopes for the brand.

Anyways, today I'll be reviewing the Redemption Romantic Smoked Palette. There's lots of different versions of the Redemption palettes. So if you don't like the color selection for this palette, be sure to look for the other versions! Just a heads up I heard the Redemption Iconic 1,2,3 are supposed to be dupes for the Urban Decay Naked 1,2,3.

I really how the back shows the ingredients. Most importantly, it's printed big with not much words. Some products use too much ingredients that you literally have to get a magnifying glass to find out what were used to make it. So if you're someone that's very specific about what ingredients goes on your skin, this is good for you.

I really like how the palette has a clear lid so you can see what colors are in it without having to open it. That makes it easy for storage and use, because you know exactly what colors are in the palette. Just grab it and go if you're in the mood for the colors.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the beautiful color selection. This is the perfect palette for the upcoming Autumn season.

Here's a closer look at the eyeshadows. The first 6 shades are shimmers.

And the last 6 shades are mattes.

Here are swatches.

My thoughts:

I think the shimmer shades perform the best in this palette.
All shadows feel very creamy and smooth.
I like how there's an even number of shimmers and mattes.
There are fall outs, so do be careful when dipping your brush.
Very versatile-- you can create many looks with just this palette.
Performs best over an eyeshadow primer.
I think this is one of the better drugstore eyeshadow palettes out there.
Only $7! You can't beat that.
Overall, I enjoyed this palette and would definitely try out the other redemption palettes as well as their other affordable products!

Review: Model 21 Eyelashes (2T Style)

Hi everyone! I'm back today with another review. Today, we will be talking about Model 21 Eyelashes. Specifically, in the style 2T. If you guys are interested in purchasing these lashes, please click here.

If you guys aren't familiar with Model 21 Eyelashes, their packing is really cute. It isn't bulky like other brands' lashes which I love. I hate how some packaging is way too bulky and it just takes up so much room in your collection.

I also appreciate the fact that the box is see through so when you are rummaging through your lash stash, you are able to differentiate which are which.

This 2T style is criss-crossed, fluff, with good length and volume. I like how it isn't too overwhelming for daytime use. Some lashes I've tried either way too dramatic for daytime and people just stare at me like some weirdo. Or, barely there lashes where you can't really see the lashes--what's the point then? I just love how these lashes are naturally curled so well. It would seem that I gave these lashes a curl or two with my eyelash curler, but I didn't!

I hope you guys can tell what I mean by these lashes are just so fluffy and curled. It really gives you eyes more definition.
Also, when people look at you from the side, it leaves them wondering, "Are those her natural lashes?" Heheh.

Here's an up close shot. Doesn't it look like I just applied a VERY good mascara? I love!

Lastly, here's a selfie of me wearing these lashes;

'

I'm super excited about these lashes!!! It's so good to where I think these are my now holy grail. Now that's something because I haven't considered any lash brand or style as my holy grail. Definitely, definitely recommend!

Review: Geo Fresh Color Grey FC-725

Oh gosh....this review is so freaking late that I'm ashamed to be even writing this now. Geocolouredlenses must be so angry and hate me to bits right now. -hides-

But hey, better late than never right? Right? Hehe.

Anyways, I received this pair of lenses from Geocolouredlenses a while back. And by a while back, I mean like decades ago. A lot was going on with me when I had received them so I had pushed it to the side and totally forgot all about them.

I don't remember the exact timing of shipment but I do remember I got my package pretty quickly. For overseas, it was pretty darn quick. Everything was safely wrapped. I can't stress enough of how important it is to have items securely. So many sellers just put it in an envelope and stuff can get smashed!

So as you can tell from the title, today I'll reviewing the Geo Fresh Color Grey FC-725 which can be purchased here. The reason why I chose this pair is because I remember vaguely using a pair from the Fresh Color series a while back and I liked it a lot. So, decided to try it in a different color. In the past, I was so obsessed with huge circle lenses and now...I love natural looking ones. I cannot stand people with huge dolly lenses, it just creeps me out.

A little bit about the Geo Fresh Color Grey FC-725:
Diameter: 14.2mm
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Water Content: 38%
Life Span: Yearly

14.2 diameter is the perfect size of circle lens in my opinion. It gives your iris a bit of enhancement but nothing too crazy.

What I specifically love wearing this pair of lenses for is for days where I want to wear minimal to no makeup. (This was the theme for these review photos). This pair of lenses is so natural that people will not realize that it's not your actual eyes! (MUAHAHAHA)

These contacts just gives your eyes a bit of life to them because let's face it, everyone's natural eyes without makeup is not that lively or bright.

Now I'm the type of person to feel really insecure going out without makeup but wearing these really boosts up my confidence. Now that's gotta say something, right?

I just can't stop gushing about how natural they look but still so dang gorgeous on the eyes. Idk. Kinda obsessed. Makes me mad for leaving these pair of lenses to the side for so many months.

A sidenote I'd like to mention is that the lenses do slide a bit out of my natural iris when looking to the side. So if someone were to stand close to me, they'd notice that it isn't my natural eyes because you can see the lenses moving. It isn't a big deal but just providing my honest opinions/thoughts.

Thank you all for reading! Please be sure to check out Geocolouredlenses if you are looking to buy circle lenses! Everything on their site is legitimate so don't be afraid. All are real because the lenses come with an authenticity sticker from GEO company itself.

My deepest apologies to Geocolouredlenses again for taking ages to complete this review. Yikes I feel so bad.

Review: Etude House Dreaming Swan Value Kit

Hello guys! It's been so long since I've last posted on here. But no worries, today I'm back with a review on Etude House's most recent collection, Dreaming Swan.

Dreaming Swan is a collection Etude House collaborated with Kerrie Hess. If you guys don't know, she is a fashion illustrator that has worked with Chanel. Chanel, guys! When I first saw the promotion pictures for this collection, I was in absolute awe. Now you guys know I always how Etude House has the cutest packaging. But this time, it's more than just cute. I would consider this collection's packing to be very sophisticatedly pretty. Yep. That is the term to describe.

Anyway, in the Dreaming Swan collection, it consists of; lipsticks, eyeshadows/blushers, shine volumers, veiling pact, nail polishes, a tapered brush, a makeup pouch, and any cushion cases.

Today I have to share with you all the Value Kit in this collection. This consists of a makeup pouch, lipstick, and eyeshadow/blusher. Buying this set would save you money rather than buying the pieces separately. I think it's very smart of Etude House to introduce value kits. I hope they will continue to have value kits in upcoming collections.

Let's just all take a moment and appreciate the beautiful packaging. Like, this is just gorgeous.

On one side of the box, it tells you what to expect in this value kit.

Here is what the makeup pouch looks like. It's a circular kind of pouch, very different from your typical makeup bag. But I like it, it's cute and unique. You can actually store anything you like, it doesn't necessarily have to be makeup. I'd suggest storing jewelry inside just because the outside looks very dainty and girly.

So when you zip open the pouch, you'd see the interior is a floral print. You'd also see the lipstick laying there. Then you're probably think, "Wait. Where is the eyeshadow/blusher?" Heh. I'll tell you in a bit.

Aha. It's actually removable! The top layer can be taken out to store other things down under. Or not. All depends on you.

Anyway. So there houses your eyeshadow/blusher product.

So let's go back talking about the lipstick. If you are familiar with Etude House's regular lipstick line (Dear My Blooming Lips-talk) That is the formula/packaging. I was rather disappointed that its the Dear My Blooming Lips-talk because I much love and prefer the Dear My Lips Wish version. But it's okay!

It's in the same formula and same packaging  but if you look closely, it's a tad different. This is in a matte casing whereas the regular Dear My Blooming Lips-talk is in a shiny case. The ribbon on here is white whereas the regular lipstick is in a pink ribbon. Slight differences!

The packing describes this lipstick as...."This is chiffon lipstick with a silky texture that glides lightly onto lips with a smooth and powdery finish." Btw, this shade is in OR225.

If you've been following me for a while, then you must know my heart goes to coral lipsticks. Actually anything coral-- I love. This lipstick hits the heart. It's a beautiful coral color that's perfect for this season. The tube you can see it filled with ballet shoes and there's a heart engraved in the lipstick. I wish instead of the heart there, it's a ballet shoe to match.

Returning back to the second product in the pouch, is the eye/blusher. Etude House says you can use this as an eyeshadow or a blusher. Multi-purpose, yay!

The product is described as, "This is an eyeshadow and blusher with a silky primer powder that gently covers up proves and provides a blurring effect for smooth cheeks and lovely eyes."  The color shade is #02 pointe coral.

I literally screamed when I opened up the tin can packaging. Look at this puff! OHMYGOSH. IT'S SO PRETTY!!! Anyways, as pretty as it is it's only going to be eye candy purposes. I never use puffs included in products.

When you take out that ridiculously gorgeous puff out, there is the product.  It's engraved with the dreaming swan logo and also a ballerina (well, half of a ballerina). Despite the company calling it coral, I wouldn't call it a coral. It's more of a peachy pink-- leaning more on the pink side. It's still a pretty shade though.

If you're wondering, "What the heck Patricia, you didn't do any swatches or anything????" That is because I'm planning to do a tutorial or so featuring this collection. Be on the lookout for that. As always, thanks for reading!

Review: 3 Concept Eyes Bold Shading Bronzer

Hello guys! I've got another review today. Today's post will be on the 3 Concept Eyes Bold Shading (bronzer). This product can be purchased  here.

I haven't tried too many bronzers/contouring products from Asian brands. In fact, this would be my second-- first try was from Etude House.

I have high hopes for this one because you all know how much I love 3 Concept Eyes' products. And for the fact that I am obsessed with bronzers.

So anyhow, the back of the box looks like so. Nothing too exciting, just Korean words that I can't read...

The shade name is printed on one of the sides. Btw, this is the darkest shade out of the two colors that 3CE carries.

Here is what the actual product looks like.

Back looks like so.

Here's a close up of the color.  When the compact isn't opened, the color looks more cool toned. But when I opened it up, I was kind of disappointed by how warm it looks. I just typically like cool toned bronzers to contour with.

The product is on the smaller side so here is a side by side comparison with a 3 Concept Eyes Blush. They are the same size.

Alrightey, here's a photo with me wearing the bronzer. Note: I applied pretty heavy handed for the photo.

MY THOUGHTS:

It's a small sized product, so it'll be easy to put it in a makeup bag.
It's a small sized product, so you really don't get your money's worth...
The powder is very soft.
It's easy to blend if apply thinly/with 1 layer.
It gets harder to blend if you put on a 2nd second layer or more. Trust me.
The color is a bit too warm for my liking, though some of you might prefer warm shades for contour.

As you can see, I have mixed feelings about this product. I'm not too impressed with this but I don't hate it either. So I mean, I will use it just that it's not going to be my first choice when I'm picking out bronzers to use.  But like I said, 3CE is one of my favorite brands so I'm glad that I tried this out and it's a part of my collection hehe.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading my conflicting thoughts! Take care!

Review: Etude House Color in Liquid Lips (OR205 & PK008)

Hey guys! Today's review is going to be on the Etude House Color in Liquid Lips! I have two shades to share with you guys today, so let's get started.

So unlike the Color Lips-fit that Etude House launched about a year ago, this new Color in Liquid Lips is a glossy finish! If you guys know me, you'd know that I prefer glossy lips over matte. (With some exceptions of course). I was super pumped when I found out Etude House is coming out with this product.

This product's claim is "Color in Liquid Lips fills the lips with a light and smooth texture that slides onto lips for vivid color and a transparent shine."

As usual, Etude House always have the cutest packaging. I know I say this overtime but seriously. This packaging is so fun and colorful. I love it so much.

How creative of them to design their UPC in a lip shape! For real, everything is so on fleek.

The shade names are on top of the packaging.

I don't know if you guys are familiar with the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks but the packaging seriously reminds me of them. It will be so good to store them out on your vanity hehe.

Here's what the product looks like when you unscrew the applicator/top off.

The product is in a tear drop kind of wand which makes it really easy and precise to apply onto your lips.

Keep in mind that it's also slanted! Perks.

Now we're going to do swatches.

First up is OR205. It's a fun, wearable orange shade.  Again if you know me, you'd know that I love corals/orangey lipsticks. They just look so flattering in my skin tone.

Next up is PK008. It's a bright pinky fuchsia shade. It's a great pop of color to your face. If you're feeling quite dull, this is an immediate pick me up.

Now review time!

I absolutely love the packaging. Box and actual product. They are super fun and cute-- idk they just scream "Summer" to me!  My favorite packaging for lipstick from Etude House.

I love the formula on these. They are a glossy finish so I'm super stoked. They apply very smoothly and evenly due to the slanted tear drop applicator.

If you have dry, chapped lips--these are VERY forgiving on you. If you guys didn't like how the Color Lips-fit accentuated your flaky dry lips, these do not do that.  My lips were pretty dry and somewhat flaky before applying these products and I was scared that my lips would look like a disaster. Surprisingly, my lips look glossy and plumped.

They have tons of different colors to choose from. They have a total of 20 shades, so there's bound to have a color that suits your taste.

So all in all, I am in love with the Color in Liquid Lips from Etude House! I'm definitely going to check some of the other colors in this line. (Even though I really shouldn't because my lipstick drawer is over flowing...smh)

Thank you so much for reading!
